TURBO DIESEL BOOSTING

TURBO DIESEL BOOSTING OPTIONS IN WOLLONGONG

Do you own a turbo diesel vehicle?
Would you like to ‘plug in’ some extra boost?

We use this exact device on our own turbo diesel vehicles. We have a Ford Ranger and a Mitsubishi Triton in our fleet of service vehicles and both are fitted with this device. It takes, on most occasions, less than half an hour to install and the difference in response is instant. A noticeable reduction in lag between gear changes, instant throttle response and a smoother and more responsive drive throughout all range or torque.

The system merely plugs into existing wiring at the vehicle accelerator pedal and is suited to both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Three different modes can be used depending on what you would like to achieve from the device.
The device is seamless in design and can be mounted in or out of view. The device is mostly set-and-forget so you don’t need to be changing settings constantly.

1st Choice Mechanical Repairs technicians are happy to discuss this device with you and show you our vehicles that have been fitted with the device. The device starts from $350.00 fitted and is for the majority of the turbo diesel range on the market today with fly-by-wire technology.

WHY INSTALL iDRIVE?

For years, vehicles were designed with a traditional accelerator cable set up, but modern vehicles use fly-by-wire throttle electronic technology. This system relies on a sensor that measures accelerator pedal pressure and position and will send a signal to the vehicle's computer, which registers and converts acceleration. Many of the fly-by-wire systems have a noticeable delay or lag. iDRIVE will allow you to tune the signal from the accelerator pedal with numerous inbuilt settings to ensure you find a range that suits your driving style and the use of the vehicle.

WHAT MAKES iDRIVE DIFFERENT?

iDRIVE has a built-in automatic control function that changes the level of throttle performance based on pedal pressure, for one of the smoothest aftermarket control module of its type on the market. This means that if you are in heavy traffic and accelerating gently or softly, the iDRIVE will select the first setting. If you are accelerating harshly to pass another vehicle, towing a heavy trailer or just enjoying a bit of acceleration, the iDRIVE will select setting nine.
